B&D // FISHERMAN’S RETREAT
Fisherman’s Retreat magician – Sam Fitton
Their story…
On 15th March last year (Mother’s Day) Dan went ring shopping with his Mum (to change a previous ring he’d first bought) and then went to my Mum and Dads to ask my Dads permission to Pop the question (incidentally he says this is one of the scariest things he’s ever had to do).
“I turned around to see Dan on one knee with the ring box in his hand.”
Later when I met up with him (thinking he was just with his mum for Mother’s Day), he insisted we went for a walk up Holcombe Hill… I mean really insisted as I started to complain about the weather and that it was cold. We walked up and as usual I was taking loads of photos, I was was stood looking up at the tower taking a photo and heard a scuffle so turned round to see Dan on one knee with the ring box in his hand. I cried for about 15 minutes before I even said yes. It was perfect! In my favourite place in the whole world with no other people around :-)
“We want our guests to enjoy an emotional and heart felt ceremony followed by a bloody good party!”
Why did you decide to book Sam & how did you find him?
We wanted a wedding magician at our Fisherman’s Retreat wedding because it’s fun (the main thing we want the day to be!) and because about an hour after we got engaged I thought ‘ooo I know a wedding magician’ and thought of Sam!
Sam also came ridiculously highly recommended and is an all round nice happy chappy :-)
Well, what can I can say!? It’s been incredible to be part of Belinda & Dan’s wedding at the I first met Belinda over 8 years ago as we studied at Lancaster University together so to be here on her big day really is very special indeed!
A massive congratulations to the happy couple and I wish them both all the very best for the future!
Sam
